Dig deep with us to unlock our vision on how we carefully assessment & moderate learning, using both formative & summative assessments, culminating in high reported attainment at the end of EYFS & KS1.

Details

A bespoke programme, which can include:

  • Time to meet and understand our vision for:
    • Assessment for Learning
    • Formative vs Summative Assessments
    • How we present and interpret data
    • The KS1 level-less era
    • HQ Marking “in the moment” (Shirley Clarke)
    • Moderation (in-year as well as end of KS)
    • KS1 non-reported data
  • Learning walks to see the above in action at first-hand or your setting (should you need it).
  • A collaborative evaluation of your provision (should you need it).
  • Help with writing follow-up action plans and implementing them (should you need it).
  • WORD version of our assessment policies (http://thamesviewinfants.org/about-us/our-school/policies/ (available at a small additional charge).

You choose what, when and where:

  • We’ll work around what suits you best!
  • Single whole or half days at Thames View Infants are very popular.
  • Block-bookings across a term/two terms at Thames View Infants and your School work well too.
  • If there is something we’ve missed, let us know.
  • Our support program is agreed individually with your school, to meet your requirements and needs.

 

Delivery

The course will allow participants to experience the rich provision at Thames View Infants.

Training will be led by Paul Jordan and Claire Smith, with inputs from our team  (as needs dictate).

Follow-up outreach work, tailored to your needs, will be offered too.

To book, please complete the enquiry form.  Confirmation will be sent shortly afterwards. Any cancellations or non-attendance will incur a £50 charge per delegate. Lunch will be provided during all-day training courses.

There is limited parking at Thames View Infants and free parking on Bastable Avenue. Please use public transport where possible:

  • Barking Station (District Line, London Overground, C2C Rail)
  • EL1 and EL2 buses stop outside the school
